6/12/2023 0 Comments Dead air keymo vs plan b by q![]() Silencerco Saker- Very modular, you can swap out the endcap and from what I see you can make it addapt to other OSS Helix- Honsestly probably my favorite of them all so far, it has was seems to be a great muzzle device and it also just twists on but it is designed so that when it is fired it actually tightens it down. But I'm not a huge fan of the detachment, I want to have my hand guard (I'm thinking the full barrel length since the muzzle device will still stick out past the end when it's threaded on) out as far as I can and still be able to take the suppressor off easily. They also have a suppressor specifically for the 6.5 calibers. Surefire soccm- I really like what I'm seeing about the warcomp flash hider. There is also a muzzle brake/ flash hider that attaches to the muzzle devices the same as the suppressors Dead air nomad- Same attachment, but a quarter inch fatter which could make fitting it partially under a hand guard an issue. Dead air sandman- I like this because you essentially just twist it off, no levers or anything The list I have kinda come up with so far is. I'll probably mostly use the suppressor for hunting too It's not going to live on one gun and will probably come off after each use. I mostly don't want to fiddle with taking the suppressor off, then putting the muzzle device on every single time I swap it out. I want to be able to quickly swap it to a 12.5 I'm planning and also my 24". Love the trash panda and my "fix" rifle, the new wolfman from dead air is just unreal, and I love the griffin line too especially the Optimus micro, paladin, and Rev9.Hey guys I'm looking for a quick detach suppressor to put on a 10.5" that I am building. And just to be clear we are dealers for Q, dead air, and Griffin and I love all 3 companies. This is also true for the SiCo Omega and hybrid when using the plan A.) Hope some of that is helpful. (The new Griffin tactical comp will not fit up in the nomad with the plan A on as it bottoms out on the blast baffle too soon. The TI minimalist is my favorite to keep weight down. The Griffin brakes are excellent and they make a ton of different ones. For the nomad, like I said I like the Griffin plan A. 1/2 socket will install for you and no timing shims. And the can comes with 2 which is unheard of. Most people will standardize to one mounting system, and if you aren't already heavily invested in one system (stay away from ASR) then the cherry bomb is a great mount and the mounts are some of the more affordable out there. Also I hated the Titanium anodize color it (trash panda) comes in. The biggest downside to the Q stuff is it's hard to get sometimes. Flash hiders for the trash panda are coming soon cause the cherry bomb is LOUD. The gold color was very off putting against the flat black nomad.) The trash panda with cherry bomb is lighter than the nomad in direct thread config. We have used it with the keymo (very heavy), Griffin plan A and Ti brakes (my favorite setup with this can), and the Q plan B and cherry bomb (I wasn't a fan of how the plan b adapter is quite a bit wider than the nomad so we turned it down on a lathe and cerakoted it black. At 14 oz DT, it (nomad) just gets heavier from there with QD adapters and brakes. ![]() The trash panda is gonna be lighter for a QD setup no matter what you put on the nomad. Both (nomad and TP) have excellent accuracy and very repeatable on/off. The Griffin Paladin has been a close performer to the trash panda for us. The nomad sounds good with 300BLK subs until you shoot the trash panda, and then you don't want to shoot the nomad anymore. The Q trash panda has been noticably quieter than the nomad at least to our guys and the customers we have demoed with. This is not scientific, but we have demos of both in our shop (SVF, LLC).
